Never been to ELC?
We invite you to drop by this Sunday! The following Q/A will fill you in on what to expect. Don’t see an answer you’re looking for? Contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402.564.0342. We look forward to meeting you!
Where are you located?
What time is service?
Service begins at 10:30 am every Sunday.
How should I dress?
At ELC, you come as you are. You will see individuals dressed in suits and dresses, with everything from casual dress to dressy casual.
It would be easier to say who doesn’t. We have young and old, single and married, those with children and without.
What is the music like?
We have contemporary praise and worship that lasts 20–30 minutes.
What is a service like?
The services at ELC have been designed with you in mind. We offer contemporary praise and worship that invites the presence of God and strong biblical teaching to help you grow in your relationship with the Lord and to become more effective in your daily walk that will inspire others.
What do I do with my baby?
You can have your baby in service with you, or we provide a nursery staffed with loving individuals who will watch over your child during the service. If your baby needs you during the service, you will be notified by an usher.
Where do my children go?
Kindergarteners through 5th grade children are welcome to come early and build relationships as they enjoy a fun, game-filled environment with caring children’s workers. Once service begins your children will experience our excellent Children’s Church punctuated with high-energy sermons teaching them the basics of God’s Word.
Who will be working with my children?
Not only do we have policies and procedures in place to keep your children safe, but we also do a background check on everyone who works with children and youth. Our volunteers are trained and love working with children and youth to help them grow in their walk with God.
Where do I park?
We have parking on our lot as well as on the street available. For those who may not be comfortable with steps we have a second entrance on the west end of the building that is zero entry.
Do you do water baptisms and baby dedications?
Yes, we do. We hold these special services a few times a year as the need arises. Announcements are made for each in the church bulletin.
Do you celebrate Communion?
Yes. We receive the Communion meal during Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and at various times throughout the year.
